Primordial Waters

Sometimes life can overwhelm us and we feel disconnected and dissociated from our core existence.  We long to feel revived and re-connected to the very essence of our being.

We are all born of water and carry this archetypical element within us. Water cleanses and water heals, but it can also be a destroyer. These two sides need to be in balance.

 

In this body of work, by being immersed in water I felt embraced and secure, whilst at the same time I was aware that I had to come up and breathe. The water held me in neutral buoyancy, as I floated close to the surface, I felt calm and at peace.

 

I would like the viewer to be immersed in the film and sound of this installation as I was in the water. Come in and float with me and share the experience of primordial waters.
